Approach to training

TIDASA has established itself as a leader in the field of education, training and development. TIDASA provides customised training to fit its clients’ needs. Areas of expertise include:

The main aim of TIDASA’s training activities is to enable employees and learners to acquire core knowledge and skills that develop necessary attitudes for dealing with institutional, technological and societal changes.

Skills transfer is intrinsic to the success of any training intervention. It includes the acquisition of essential skills and participatory processes that help learners take ownership of the process and the outcomes. Skills transfer is therefore initiated through a collaborative process where employees and management of the client and/or members of their skills development committee will be involved in and facilitate decision-making regarding the proposed training and development framework.

Project managers within TIDASA undertake all aspects of training project administration, including:

  • Project planning and scheduling of deliverables.
  • Budget and financial control.
  •  Staff allocation and time management.

Assessment

Learners who attend our training or use our training material are assessed in line with SAQA and Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) body regulations, using a combination of standard tools i.e. role-playing, peer and individual assessment, trainer checklists, practical activities and tests. Assessment takes place during and upon conclusion of each module.

Learner records

A learner record database is maintained to record the contact details, attendance and achievements of each learner.
